FAQ
The questions every IT manager asks us
What is mobile device security (Mobile Threat Defense)?
A dedicated protection layer for corporate smartphones and tablets: detecting and blocking phishing on every channel, malicious apps and spyware, attacks on public WiFi networks and operating system vulnerabilities. Check Point Harmony Mobile is the leading MTD solution, and with us it arrives as a fully managed service — licensing, deployment, SOC monitoring and incident response.
What's the difference between MDM and mobile device protection?
MDM (mobile device management, such as Intune or Jamf) controls the device: policy enforcement, encryption, remote wipe in case of loss or theft. Mobile Threat Defense protects the device: it detects phishing, malicious apps and network attacks in real time. The solutions are complementary — Harmony Mobile integrates with your existing MDM and adds the protection layer that MDM alone does not provide.
Does this compromise employee privacy?
No. The system does not read messages, does not view photos and does not track location. Analysis happens at the threat level only — links, files and suspicious traffic. That's exactly what makes it deployable on personal BYOD devices without employee pushback, while complying with Amendment 13 to the Israeli Privacy Protection Law.
How long does deployment take?
Up to 48 hours from order approval, in most organizations. Rollout runs through your existing MDM (Intune, Jamf and others) or via a direct install link — without physically collecting a single device and without any downtime.
Employees have antivirus on their phones. Isn't that enough?
Mobile antivirus mainly checks known files. It does not block a phishing link in an SMS, does not identify an app with spyware-grade permissions, and does not alert on a Man-in-the-Middle attack on public WiFi. Those are the real attack vectors on mobile — and they are exactly what Mobile Threat Defense exists for.
How much does mobile security cost for an organization?
Pricing is per device per month and depends on volume and service tier (licensing only, or a fully managed service with SOC). Leave your details and you'll get a formal quote within 24 hours — no commitment.
